Meet Our Veterinary Surgeons

Dr. Russel Bassett - Russel is originally from
South Africa, and enjoyed working in a Speciality Practice in the UK before making his home in the
Blue Mountains. Russel loves the outdoors and the natural world with a passion for mountain biking
and rock climbing.

Dr. Chris Blair - Chris founded PetFriends in
September 1973. He has a special interest in
surgery, and has studied with Professor Earl Owen,
the pioneer human microsurgeon. He is a keen sportsman, skier and devoted grandfather.

Dr Blake Britton - Blake enjoys sharing his vast experience and knowledge with the younger vets.
He respects and understands the special role family pets have in our world. He is a keen gardener, and enjoys spending time with his three daughters and
their families.

Dr Jessica Greene - Jess is a local, having attended school in the Mountains, and then Sydney University. Jess has a great interest in the health and socialisation of puppies and kittens. She has a natural flair for comforting sick and injured pets.

Dr David Khor - David is originally from Singapore
and attended school and university in Sydney.
David is quiet, kind and gentle, and this approach
is appreciated by clients and their pets. At leisure
David is always on the lookout for good food
and coffee.

Dr Erin Short - Erin is originally from the North
Coast of NSW. Erin has a particular interest in skin problems, behavioural issues, and nutrition to treat
and prevent disease and ageing. Erin loves the
Blue Mountains, and enjoys bushwalking with her dog, and caring for her cats.
